Dr. Jizhe NING, male, Han nationality, CPC member. Ning was born in Hefei, Anhui province in December 1956, and traces his ancestry to Xia County, Shanxi province. Ning earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering at Hefei University of Technology and his doctorate in economics at Renmin University of China. He is now a doctoral advisor at the State Information Center (SIC) and China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE).

02/1978 – 02/1982, Ning was an undergraduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Hefei University of Technology.

03/1982 – 09/1983, Ning worked as a technician and assistant engineer at Henan Xinxiang Machine Tool Factory under the former Ministry of Machinery Industry.

10/1983 – 10/1988, Ning studied at the School of Planning and Statistics, Renmin University of China, and earned his master’s degree and doctorate in economics.

11/1988 – 11/2003, Ning served successively as Principal Staff Member, Deputy Director, Director, and Deputy Director General at the Department of Long-term Planning, the Department of Long-term Planning and Industrial Policy, and the Department of Development and Planning under National Planning Commission, and the deputy head， head of the Comprehensive Planning Group of the Western Region Development Office of the State Council (Director General Level).

06/2003 – 07/2015, Ning served successively as a member, Deputy Director, Director, and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the State Council Research Office. He was also the Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research (CAMR) under the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES). 03/2013-02/2018, Ning has been a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

08/2015 – 02/2022, Ning served successively as a member and Vice Chairman of the NDRC (Ministerial Level), the Commissioner and Party Secretary of the National Bureau of Statistics, as well as the President of the National Statistical Society of China.

03/2022-07/2022, Ning has been a member of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC.

07/2022-03/2023，Ning has been a member of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC，Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE).

03/2023-today，Ning has been Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC， Vice Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC，and Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE).
